Wedding Budget Spreadsheets and Templates

A wedding is a very important occasion in a person’s life and in many situations people would do about just anything to make their wedding be considered the best. Some people knowingly or unknowingly over spend on their weddings leading to later partial financial strains. Even then it is not a must that a person spends lots of money to make a wedding a success.

So then a wedding budget should be created and followed to ensure that the couple does not face financial strains as soon as their wedding ceremony is over. Now, even though many people create wedding budgets many are occasions when the budgets are not adhered to the letter. This is because there are some expenses that may crop in of which were not catered for in the initial budget leading to increase in the amount of money to be spend altogether.

Here we look at how to create a wedding budget spreadsheet.

Now the procedure for creating a wedding budget spreadsheet is easy as one will only be required to go the Microsoft excel on a computer and click on new spreadsheet. Then one can either decide to divide the spreadsheet into sub sections or simple make a single spreadsheet that will cater for all wedding expenses.

Budgeting Spreadsheets

Now some of the items that can be included in a person’s wedding budget spreadsheet include ceremony items like food, drinks, venue fees, hiring chairs, tables and tents, linen, rentals, decoration among others. Others include the wedding dresses for both the groom and bride, the dresses accessories, hosiery, shoes, jewelry, garter, bouquets, ceremony flowers, candles, balloons, wedding cake, corsages, photographer, videography, music, Djs, invitation cards, program, guest books, calligraphy, wedding rings, wedding gifts, transportation among other miscellaneous items.

The couple should write own all their wedding items and put the items estimated prices against each item. Apart from the items the budget spreadsheet should also include a budget for clergy, bride’s and groom maids.

At the bottom of the lists one can have a running tally and the totals of the the items to give the couple a rough idea on how much they are expected to produce to carry out the wedding. After ensuring that all necessary items have been put down and their estimated prices alongside the budget should be printed into a number of copies of which at least one should be carried whenever the couple or one of them goes out for the wedding shopping.

Carrying the budget while shopping will help in sticking to the estimated budget. Again if the items are bought for different prices other than the estimated it is important that the budget spreadsheet is updated. This will give the couple an opportunity to see if the budget was strained or surpassed.

In short a wedding budget spreadsheet should contain a compiled list of wedding items, wedding vendors with their respective details, totaled wedding estimates and shopping updates.
